Music genre which performed by Viky Sianipar both in show and recording, is World Music or New Age that begins to be the his favorite one lately. World Music is an ethnic music influenced by west rhythm guitar or vive versa. The world is already familiar with Enigma, Enya, Kitaro, and Sergio Mendez as a musician who seriously involved in these kinds of music.
In involving in this music, he collaborates with traditional musicians such as Korem Sihombing, (Toba) and Julianus Limbeng (Karo). Their works can be listened in Toba Dream album like “Piso Surit”, “Cikala Le Pong”, “Palti Raja”, and many more. Up to now, he is trying to collaborate with another musician from other ethnics to born new masterpiece. It will include in “Parahyangan Adventure” and “Indonesian Heritage” album. |
