Viky Sianipar, born in Jakarta, on June 26 1976, the second of four children from Monang Sianipar (father) and Elly Rosalina Kusuma (mother). Viky has three siblings, Sahat Sianipar, Bismark Sianipar, and Tria Sianipar. He began his education in SD Budi Asih in 1982, continued to SMP St. Theresia, and graduated from SLTA St. Theresia in 1995. After graduated from SLTA, considered his parents suggestion, he started to work in his parents company (MSA Kargo). Realizing his strong interest in music, his whole families allowed him to concentrate on it. Since 2002, Viky dedicates himself in music.
Music Education
Viky Sianipar began his classical music course in 1982 in Yayasan Pendidikan Musik (YPM), started from pre-elementary (for one year), elementary (also one year), and basic (for four years). However, because of some problems, the course cannot be finished. In 1990, he took piano jazz course in Farabi School of Music for one year. Since the course schedule did not match with the schedule of national test (Ebtanas), he cannot finish the course.
In 1995, he went to San Francisco (USA) to enhance his English skill. He took this golden chance to participate in guitar course (blues).
Music Career
1. Launched Toba Dream II album in November 2003.
2. Fingered as an arranger for Pemilu 2004 marching.
3. Performed in the opening show in AMI Award show in October 3, 2003.
4. A music director in “Toba Nite” (Barbados Café, July 2003).

In December 2002, Viky launched Toba Dream I album. It was successfully got some achievements:
1. Nomination in AMI Award 2003 for World Music category.
2. The video clip of “Piso Surit” played in MTV 100% Indonesia and MTV Alert.
3. Best Seller album (ET-45 Medan).
4.“The Hottest Album” in 2003 according to MTV Trax magazine

6. A successful music director in “Save Lake Toba Music Concert” (Sahid Jaya Hotel, September 18, 2002). This concert attended by 1000 elite figure including Taufik Kiemas.
7. Launched an album entitled Melangkah Diatas Pelangi (2000) and nominated in AMI Award 2001
